The Bears are benefiting from having WR Alshon Jeffery back in Week 6. Bruce Kluckhohn USA TODAY Sports
The Chicago Bears went without their top wide receiver from Week 2 to Week 5, as Alshon Jeffery nursed a calf injury on the sideline. They welcomed him back for Week 6 against the Detroit Lions.
Jeffery made an explosive return in his first game back since Week 1. Near the end of the first half, Bears quarterback Jay Cutler took a chance and heaved one deep in his direction.
The result was an amazing 45-yard gain.
The Bears lacked a vertical passing game during Jeffery's absence, so Chicago should be happy to see their big, physical receiver adding a much-needed dimension to the offense.
