FRESNO, Calif. (AP) Marteze Waller had a 38-yard rushing touchdown with 2:37 remaining to help Fresno State beat UNLV 31-28 on Friday night, snapping the Bulldogs' five-game losing streak.

Waller went nearly untouched on the go-ahead score and Chad Olsen converted the 2-point conversion. UNLV marched down the field, aided by Kurt Palandech's 39-yard quarterback sneak, but turned it over on downs at Fresno State's 32.

Waller rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns for the Bulldogs (2-5, 1-3 Mountain West). Kilton Anderson threw for 193 yards and added 78 yards rushing with two scores.

After UNLV had a 38-yard punt early in the fourth quarter, Fresno State took three plays to get within 28-23 on Anderson's 12-yard play-action quarterback sneak. The Bulldogs' 2-point conversion attempt was intercepted in the end zone by Tim Hough.

Palandech threw for 111 yards and two touchdowns for UNLV (2-5, 1-2).
