LOS ANGELES (AP) Turner broadcaster Sam Ryan didn't ask Dodgers manager Don Mattingly about his screaming exchange with Los Angeles outfielder Andre Ethier in Game 5 of the NL Division Series during an in-game interview.
A Turner camera showed Either yelling at Mattingly and waving his arms in the bottom of the third inning during Thursday night's game against the New York Mets. Turner broadcast Mattingly's interview with Ryan in the top of the fourth.
Turner spokesman Nate Smeltz said the interview took place moments after the screaming.
Asked why Ryan didn't ask about it, Smeltz said: ''There was a miscommunication.''
