The Broncos' newest tight end is a mammoth blocker. Gary Kubiak approves. Mark J. Rebilas USA TODAY Sports
Gary Kubiak is a man who loves his tight ends.
He should absolutely love a guy like Richard Gordon, then. The Broncos signed the big-bodied veteran after stops in Kansas City, Tennessee, Oakland, and Miami.
At six-foot-four and 265 pounds, Gordon looks more like a sixth lineman than a tight end. Kubiak might ultimately use him that way.
"I'm a blocking tight end," Gordon told KUSA's Mike Klis. "I've always been that -- a blocker."
Kubiak has been on the hunt for tight end depth since losing rookie Jeff Heuerman this summer. Perhaps Gordon is the answer at his favorite position.
