Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington practiced fully on Thursday for the first time since suffering a knee injury in Week 1.

Ellington had a strong season debut with 69 yards rushing and a touchdown on 12 carries but there was been no drop-off with Chris Johnson starting in his place the past three weeks.

Johnson rushed for 265 yards over the past three games, including a 110-yard, two-touchdown performance in a Week 3 rout of the San Francisco 49ers. Coach Bruce Arians said Johnson will continue to receive a heavy workload when Ellington returns.

As for Sunday's game at Detroit, Cardinals offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin said he doesn't anticipate Arians easing Ellington into the flow despite his lengthy absence.

"I don't think B.A. eases into anything," Goodwin said. "When he wants him in there, he'll be in there."
