Adding injury to insult, Houston Texans wide receiver Cecil Shorts hurt his left shoulder in Sunday's 48-21 lopsided loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Shorts was injured after fumbling a pass from Brian Hoyer on the final play of the game. The ball was returned 84 yards for a touchdown by Atlanta linebacker Nate Stupar.
Per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, Shorts had his arm in a sling after the game. His status for Houston's Thursday night game against the Indianapolis Colts is unclear.
The veteran receiver caught six passes for 87 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss.
