WATCH: John Phillips hauls in an amazing one-handed catch

John Phillips isn't exactly what pro scouts call a "receiving tight end."

That didn't stop the Chargers' third-stringer from hauling this beauty in with one hand against the Minnesota Vikings:

Phillips caught one pass for one yard in all of 2014. Perhaps Philip Rivers should consider throwing his way a tad more.

Then again, the Bolts' might not have a choice. Antonio Gates is suspended and his backup, Ladarius Green, is injured.

It seems Phillips is a more-than-capable emergency option, though.
