It was somewhat of a surprise that cornerback Darrelle Revis sat out of practice on Wednesday due to a groin injury after putting in a stellar performance against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2.
On Thursday, though, Revis returned to practice on a limited basis. Todd Bowles addressed the injury after practice and is "hopeful" his star corner will be on the field against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Revis forced three turnovers against the Colts on Monday, intercepting one pass and recovering two fumbles. He was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance, the third time he's earned the award in his career.
His absence would definitely be felt if he's unable to go on Sunday, especially with the high-powered Eagles offense coming to town. His availability is worth monitoring in the coming days.
