While the New Orleans Saints and quarterback Drew Brees still have their fingers crossed for a quick rehab on the quarterback's injured shoulder, they did receive some good news on the topics.
Originally, the concern was that Brees may have suffered a torn rotator cuff, which could obviously leave him out for an extended period of time. According to Ed Werder of ESPN though, Dr. James Andrews confirmed that Brees did not have a torn rotator cuff of his throwing shoulder.
The final part there about his "status TBD" is definitely worth noting. The Saints are hoping to have Brees this weekend against the Carolina Panthers, but at this point it's completely up in the air.
