- INDIANAPOLIS - The Colts play the Jets on Monday night, with the Indianapolis offensive line needing to do a better job of protecting Andrew Luck than it did in the opening week.

- NEW YORK - Matt Harvey makes his first start in 12 days for the New York Mets when the NL East leaders face CC Sabathia and the Yankees at Citi Field in the Subway Series. Game starts 8:05 p.m.

- CHICAGO - The playoff-bound Cardinals try to avoid a sweep in a testy series when they face Jon Lester and the Cubs. Three St. Louis batters were hit by pitches Saturday. Game starts 2:20 p.m.

- Mississippi is now at the forefront of the SEC after its stunner against Alabama. These Rebels appear for real, with a solid quarterback, athletic receivers and opportunistic defense.

- Nebraska is 1-2 for the first time since 1981, with one loss coming on a Hail Mary and the other after a couple blunders in overtime. New coach Mike Riley isn't happy.

- TASHKENT, Uzbekistan - Jack Sock clinches the United States' Davis Cup World Group playoff win over Uzbekistan with a four-set victory over Denis Istomin.

- GLASGOW, Scotland - Andy Murray sends Britain into its first Davis Cup final in 37 years, eliminating Australia in the semifinals with a victory over Bernard Tomic.

- SINGAPORE - Sebastian Vettel wins the Singapore Grand Prix in which championship leader Lewis Hamilton quits mid-race because of car trouble, injecting new life into the fight for the Formula One title.

- RICHMOND, Va. - The cycling world championships begin with the men's and women's team time trials. These are the only races in which competitors ride for their individual teams rather than their nations.

- Game 2 of two WNBA playoff series: New York Liberty at Washington Mystics (1 p.m.) and Minnesota Lynx at Los Angeles Sparks (3 p.m.).

- LILLE, France - Spain, behind NBA star Pau Gasol, looks to regain the European championship title when it plays Lithuania in the final. Game starts 1 p.m.

- BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The World Cup champion U.S. women's soccer team plays an exhibition against Haiti. Haiti is a replacement for Australia, which called off its U.S. tour because of a labor dispute.
