For multiple seasons, the Detroit Pistons were one of the worst shooting teams in basketball. Having a frontcourt of Josh Smith, Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond will do that a team, but the Pistons routinely struggled to get efficient shooting from their backcourt as well.
Now entering the second year under Stan Van Gundy, the Pistons are hopeful all the personnel and schematic changes will lead to much better shooting nights.
Jodie Meeks, who struggled with injuries last season, is hoping to lead the charge on the wing.

Here's what Meeks told Keith Langlois at Pistons.com:
"We have a lot of big guards," he said. "A lot of strong guards. Sometimes in the NBA, you get tall guards but they're really lanky. We have a lot of guards that are big, myself included. I think we'll be a good shooting team. That's predicated on defense and getting out in the open and running. We have a young team. I'm one of the old guys now -- I'm still pretty young in age (28 last month) -- but on this team I'm one of the old guys. I just have to do a pretty good job of being a leader and help these guys win."
