New York Jets rookie wide receiver Devin Smith missed all of training camp due to broken ribs and a punctured lung, but he's getting closer to making his NFL debut.
According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, Smith was a full participant in practice on Thursday and could play against the Colts on Monday.
Smith was the team's second-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft and is a receiver who can stretch the field in a big way. He averaged 28 yards per catch in his senior year at Ohio State, with 12 of those catches going for touchdowns.
He figures to be a good compliment to the bigger receivers like Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall. It shouldn't be long before Jets fans get to see the young wideout on the field.
