Cowboys WR Beasley: Small but powerful, like ... detergent?

IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys receiver Cole Beasley is becoming a big name for being a small guy.

Beasley stars in a new commercial for Tide PODS, the little packets of concentrated laundry detergent.

The commercial shows Beasley performing feats of super strength despite his listed size of 5-8 and 180 pounds.

A similar commercial was filmed with Darren Sproles, the 5-6 running back of the Philadelphia Eagles.

"It really wasn't that hard, I didn't have to do much talking or anything," Beasley said. "But it was a long day. It was like a 12-hour production day. It was supposed to be a two-day shoot but we had to move it into one because it was like three days before camp."

Beasley is starting his fourth season in the NFL on Sunday when the Cowboys host the New York Giants. He's caught 76 passes over the last two seasons to become a trusted component of the Cowboys' offense.

Beasley has survived this long in the NFL because he knows how to keep his uniform clean. Not because of any detergent, but because he's managed to avoid the injuries that often sideline smaller players.

"I've always said you don't have to be a really big guy to play this game," Beasley said. "You've just got to know how to play if you are small. Know how to get open, know how to avoid big hits and stay healthy and be available."
