Dave Dombrowski has reportedly narrowed his list of general managers.
According to a report from Jon Heyman at CBS Sports, three candidates have emerged for the Red Sox general manager position.
Those names are Arizona Diamondbacks VP De Jon Watson and Red Sox assistant GM Mike Hazen in addition to early favorite Frank Wren, the former Atlanta Braves and Baltimore Orioles GM.
Heyman notes that other names could surface as well.
Of the three mentioned, Watson and Wren both have ties to Dombrowski from the Florida Marlins. Wren was the assistant GM alongside Dombrowski.
While the final say in any deal will belong to Dombrowski, it will be interesting to see the direction that the Red Sox go with their general manager.
