SAO PAULO (AP) Corinthians came from behind three times to draw Palmeiras 3-3 on Sunday in an intense local derby match in Sao Paulo.

The draw kept Corinthians on top of the Brazilian league with 50 points, five in front of Atletico-MG. Gremio is six back, with Sao Paulo the next best club, 12 off the lead.

Palmeiras, playing at home, got goals from Lucas, Robinho and Dudu. Vagner Love scored the equalizer in the 78th minute for Corinthians with Guilherme Arana also scoring. Palmeiras also contributed an own goal by Amaral.

''Playing away from home, it's important to get some points,'' Love said. ''It was good we earned a point.''

There was another intense local derby a little further north on Sunday before 50,000 fans at the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro, where Flamengo trampled Fluminense 3-1. Paulinho, Emerson and Kayke scored for Flamengo with Fluminense's only goal coming from Jean.

Flamengo trails leaders Corinthians by 15 points, the same margin as Palmeiras.

In other results on Sunday it was: Cruzeiro 5, Figueirense 1; Chapecoense 0, Ponte 0; Gremio 2, Goias 1, Avai 0, Coritiba 2; Sport 1, Santos 1.

Atletico-MG defeated Vasco on Saturday 2-1 to keep the pressure on Corinthians.

In other Saturday results, Sao Paulo downed Inter 2-0 and Atletico-PR 0, drew 0-0 with Joinville.

Ricardo Oliveira of Santos leads the league's scorers with 15 goals. Lucas Pratto of Atletico-MG has 10, followed by Jadson of Corinthians with nine and Alexandre Pato of Sao Paulo with eight.
