The Minnesota Twins are without rookie slugger Miguel Sano and closer Glen Perkins for their game against the Chicago White Sox on Thursday.
Sano is dealing with a hamstring injury that doesn't allow him to run. Perkins is bothered by back spasms for the second time in a week. Perkins, who is second in the American League with 32 saves, won't accompany the team on the road trip to Houston starting Friday.
Sano, who has 15 home runs in his first 51 major-league games, has played through the hamstring injury. But Minnesota manager Paul Molitor decided to rest Sano on Thursday.
