Chicago Bears Alshon Jeffery still isn't practicing as a he recovers from a calf injury. Jeffery's absence has been longer than expected, but Bears head coach John Fox is reluctant to provide an update on his star receiver's status, according to Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune.

Jeffery was originally expected to miss just a week of practice, ESPN's Jeff Dickerson reported, yet the fourth-year pass-catcher has been sitting since Aug. 11. He is supposed to be taking over the team's No. 1 receiver role, but that's tough to do from the sidelines.

The Bears are currently dealing with several injuries at the wide receiver position, with Jeffery's being the most notable. If his calf issue is still bothering him during the regular season, Bears quarterback Jay Cutler will have to make the most of whatever healthy pass-catchers he has left.
