The deadline for teams to make roster moves in anticipation of the postseason is Monday, August 31.

With roughly two days to go, the Los Angeles Angels are looking to improve their pitching staff, according to Jeff Fletcher of the O.C. Register.

Though Fletcher says the team is 'finding it difficult' to find a suitable deal on the waiver wire, they're still looking for improvement in 'all areas', though Fletcher says acquiring a reliever would be their most likely result if they find a match.

With season-ending injuries faced by pitchers Tyler Skaggs and C.J. Wilson, Fletcher also notes that the Halos have two spots open to facilitate the additions of any new players.

Entering play Saturday the Angels sit at 65-63, five and a half games off the pace of the Houston Astros in the AL West and a game and a half behind the Texas Rangers for the second Wild Card spot.
