ACC Gridiron LIVE debuts Wednesday, Sept. 2, with an opening-week installment that puts the focus on Virginia Tech's clash with No. 1 Ohio State and more from around the league.

Emmy Award-winning James Bates, former NFLers Ovie Mughelli and Takeo Spikes and former coach Tommy Bowden will talk all things ACC football throughout the season. Spikes sits down with Hokies coach Frank Beamer to discuss the game against the Buckeyes in Blacksburg on Monday, Sept. 7. Virginia Tech was the only team to beat the national champions last season, stunning Ohio State 35-21 in Columbus.

Bowden will dissect the Hokies' defensive line and shows how it could lead to success against the Buckeyes once again and the coach, Bowden, Spikes and Mughelli give their insights on what to expect from the game.

Louisville takes on No. 6 Auburn in the Georgia Dome on Saturday, Sept. 5 and the ACC Gridiron LIVE team will break that matchup down. Cardinals defensive end Sheldon Rankins, part a unit that was ranked sixth in FBS in total defense in 2014, will be profiled.

Spikes will demonstrate the responsibilities of Louisville's linebackers as they defend Auburn's running backs on the zone read.

Also, North Carolina defensive coordinator Gene Chizik will be mic'd up on the practice field as they prepare for the opener vs. South Carolina in Charlotte on Thursday, Sept. 3.

The team will also preview that Tar Heels vs. Gamecocks matchup, along with Virginia at No. 13 UCLA.

FOX Sports South's ACC football coverage begins the new season with a prime time match-up on Thursday, Sept. 3, featuring preseason ranked Georgia Tech hosting Alcorn State at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will be preceded by a special pregame show live from Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, GA at 7 p.m. ET.
