Unlike most of their competitors in the league, Auburn is set at their starting quarterback position. It's at arguably the SEC's deepest position where the Tigers find themselves struggling to name a starter.

Roc Thomas, Peyton Barber and Jovon Robinson are currently entrenched in a heated battle to win the starting running back duties and the coaching staff appear confident in all three to carry the load, but not yet ready to name one as a starter over the others.

"I'll be fine either way because I think we have four really good options," offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee said Monday according to AL.com. "It's not like I worry about who is in the game as much. I do think someone will probably emerge, but I also think we may split carries more than we have the past two years."

All three bring unique traits to the position, Thomas bring big play ability with his speed, Robinson has the ability to grind out the tough yards and gain valuable first downs, while Barber is described as the "steady" back of the pack.

"I could see someone emerging as a little more of the feature guy but I also think we'll have a little bit more by-committee than we have in the past," Lashlee said.
