Luis Enrique has refused to discuss any potential interest from Manchester United in Barcelona's Brazilian forward Neymar.

The Sun revealed over the weekend that the Barcelona superstar had been earmarked by Man United as a potential marquee signing this summer, albeit with only one week of the transfer window remaining.

Such speculation was readily dismissed by Neymar's agent, Wagner Ribeiro, although the Guardian reported on Sunday that the 23-year-old would be 'open' to joining Louis van Gaal's side.

However, after watching his La Liga champions begin their defense with a scrappy 1-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao on Sunday, manager Luis Enrique was not in the mood to discuss any potential move for his Brazilian forward.

"It doesn't interest me to talk about rumors, nor these types of situations," Enrique stated. "I only want to focus on what's happened to my team."

Neymar has three years remaining on his current deal at the Nou Camp, and with a release clause thought to reach around £130million, the Old Trafford outfit face a battle to prise him away from Spain.
