BEREA, Ohio (AP) Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel cut his practice short Sunday after experiencing soreness in his right elbow and could be sidelined for a few days.
Manziel has been bothered by a sore elbow for the past two weeks. After completing a pass Sunday, Manziel pointed toward his elbow. Browns coach Mike Pettine said Manziel may not practice Monday. The team has a scheduled day off on Tuesday.
The second-year QB sat out practice on Aug. 11 with a sore elbow, but played two nights later in an exhibition.
Pettine doesn't believe Manziel's elbow issue will be ''a long-term thing.'' He will continue to get feedback from trainer Joe Sheehan.
Manziel threw a touchdown pass in Thursday's loss to Buffalo and has had an impressive training camp. He's listed as the No. 2 quarterback behind Josh McCown, who is expected to start the season opener.
