SALZBURG, Austria (AP) Red Bull Salzburg says Austria midfielder Yasin Pehlivan has joined the club on a one-year deal, ending a four-season stint in Turkey.
The 26-year-old Pehlivan was without a club after Kayseri terminated its contract with the player following the team's relegation from the Super Lig last season.
Pehlivan, who played for Rapid Vienna before moving to Gaziantepspor in 2011 and Bursaspor two years later, has played 17 times for the national team. He was a regular starter until 2012 but wasn't selected again by coach Marcel Koller until June for Austria's Euro 2016 qualifier at Russia.
Salzburg won the Austrian league title the past two years but is fifth this season. Rapid Vienna is in the lead after five rounds.
