Ravens head coach John Harbaugh was caught off guard when he caught wind that some of his players called this year's training camp the hardest of his tenure. It might be a case of recency bias, but Harbaugh had a different analogy to apply.

"To me, it's the same training camp we've always had," Harbaugh said after the second of three joint Wednesday's joint practice with the Eagles, per ESPN.com. "Maybe it's like childbirth -- it's not so bad after you have your kid. I can't speak to that; maybe some of us here can."

Harbaugh, who likely has never experienced giving birth, then looked around the crowd of reporters to find a female.

"Does it seem so bad a couple years later?," Harbaugh asked. "But when you're going through it it's really rough. [The players are] going through it right now, so I can see why they think it's the toughest one."

Receiver Steve Smith Sr., who is in his second season with Baltimore, called Eagles practices "apple juice" earlier this week compared to the Ravens' sessions. The Ravens haven't had a practice shorter than two hours and 45 minutes all summer, and have battled heat indexes as high as 111 degrees.
