The Rams liked Nick Foles so much they gave him a two-year contract extension before he played a single down for the team.

Count Sports Illustrated's Peter King as another person who believes in Foles.

"I've always been high on Foles," King said, via StLouisRams.com. "Nick Foles is a guy who knows when to push the envelope, but he's not one of the guys who will make the dumb throw that leads to the interception."

Foles, as King put it, experienced a "magical" year in 2013 when he threw for 27 touchdowns to just two interceptions. The 2014 season was a little bit more trying for the Arizona product, yet King sees why management fell in love with him so fast.

"I think one of the reasons why Jeff Fisher, Les Snead, why they really like him a lot, is his attitude is, 'You just tell me what the offense is, and I'm going to do it,'" King said, via StLouisRams.com.

Now it's up to Foles to direct a Rams offense and guide the team to the playoffs for the first time since 2004.
