Miami Marlins outfielder Christian Yelich has been placed on the 15-day disabled left because of a bruised right knee, and outfielder Marcell Ozuna has been recalled from Triple-A New Orleans.

Yelich's move was retroactive to Monday and made before Saturday's game at St. Louis.

Ozuna was demoted to the minors July 5 after struggling the first half of the season, batting .249 with four homers. He hit 23 homers last year.

Yelich, who is batting .275 with six homers and 29 RBI, was on the DL earlier this year because of a strained back.
