Terrelle Pryor missed his first crack at showing he is capable of making the transition from quarterback to receiver Thursday night.
Head coach Mike Pettine said Friday that Pryor is expected back at practice Saturday, meaning he is on track to see action next Thursday night in Buffalo. Pryor has been sidelined since injuring his hamstring on Aug. 4. Pettine indicated on Wednesday that Pryor wasn't doing himself any favors in his quest for a roster spot, saying mental reps can only get the new receiver so far.
Pettine also said that rookie running back Duke Johnson will remain sidelined with a hamstring injury until next week at the earliest. Johnson has been out since the third day of of camp, but Pettine is confident he'll make it back for the team's third preseason game in Tampa Bay on Aug. 29.
