The Timberwolves got an infusion of veteran leadership when they traded for Kevin Garnett last year, but they're still one of the youngest teams in the league. They signed on for a little more vet presence Thursday.

From Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports:

Prince split last season between three teams, starting the year with the Grizzlies, heading to the Celtics in a trade for Jeff Green and then going over to the Pistons in a later deal. He averaged 7.5 points per game in 24.1 minutes a night combined.

The 35-year-old is coming into his 14th year in the NBA. Acting as the starting small forward for a championship-winning 2004 Pistons team seems like a distant memory.

This will be the second time Prince has left Motor City. The Pistons traded him to the Grizzlies as part of a three-team deal after 11 years in Detroit back in 2013. This time, he leaves on his own.

Prince won't start considering the wings the Wolves already have on the roster (including Andrew Wiggins, Kevin Martin, Zach LaVine and Shabazz Muhammad), but he can provide a leadership role for the young ones. Aside from Martin, all three of those guys are 22 years old or younger.
