Score another victory for the Atlanta Hawks in their quest to be San Antonio Spurs East.

The team has hired former Spur and current Philadelphia 76ers TV commentator Malik Rose as their new manager of basketball operations, according to Yahoo Sports.

Rose played for the Spurs from 1997 to 2005, winning championships in 1999 and 2003 (he was traded during the 2005 championship season). As result, he already has a good relationship with Hawks coach and president of basketball ops Mike Budenholzer, who was an assistant coach with the Spurs for 18 years before joining the Hawks.
