Pass-rushers around the NFL are seeing red. That's due to the non-contact jerseys quarterbacks wear during training camp and the subsequent frustration.

Chicago Bears outside linebacker Pernell McPhee, for one, is excited to finally have an opportunity to hit a quarterback in the team's preseason matchup with the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night.

"I'm excited [for the preseason opener], I'm excited because I actually get to hit the quarterback and hit somebody else on another team," McPhee said, via ESPN's Jeff Dickerson. "Not only [am I excited] to hit them, but actually hurt them if I get a good hit on them. That's how the game is played. I'm really excited."

The exhibition will be a coming-out party of sorts for McPhee, who has yet to play his first snap with the Bears. A former Baltimore Raven, McPhee was signed in free agency to a five-year, $38.75 million contract. Through four seasons, he has 17.0 sacks and is coming off a career-best 7.5-sack campaign in 2014.

The Ravens were loaded with talent in the defensive front seven, so McPhee served mostly served as a versatile reserve. With the Bears, he'll have the chance to star as a starting outside linebacker.
