In what is likely a depth move, the Oakland Athletics obtained lefty Felix Doubront from the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday in exchange for cash considerations:

Doubront, 27, was once a prized prospect in the Boston Red Sox organization but didn't pan out in Boston. He was designated for assignment by the Blue Jays earlier this week to make room on the 25-man roster for newly acquired shortstop Troy Tulowitzki.

For his career, Doubront has a 29-24 record with a 4.78 ERA in 461 innings of work (having made 77 starts out of a total 107 appearances).
