HIROSHIMA, Japan (AP) Brazilian Douglas scored both goals on Saturday as Sanfrecce Hiroshima stayed unbeaten in the J-League's second stage with a 2-0 win over Yokohama F Marinos.
Douglas put the hosts ahead with a penalty kick in first half stoppage time and widened the lead eight minutes after the break with a header for his eighth goal of the season.
Hiroshima improved to 12 points, two ahead of Kashiwa Reysol which beat Vegalta Sendai 1-0.
Takashi Usami scored his league-leading 16th goal of the season midway through the second half as third-place Gamba Osaka improved to eight points with a 2-1 win over Vissel Kobe, fourth on seven points.
In other matches, Nagoya Grampus beat first-stage winners Urawa Reds 2-1, and Albirex Niigata overpowered Montedio Yamagata 3-1.
