St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The St. Louis Rams have added former NFL quarterback Jeff Garcia to their coaching staff.
Garcia will serve as an offensive assistant, primarily with receivers coach Ray Sherman. He spent the 2014 season coaching quarterbacks for the Montreal Alouettes of the CFL.
In a 17-year career that included NFL stops with San Francisco, Cleveland, Detroit, Philadelphia and Tampa Bay, as well as a successful four-year run in the CFL, Garcia threw for nearly 42,000 yards.
The San Jose State product was a four-time Pro Bowl selection and was also a four-time CFL All-Star and the league's 1997 MVP. He led Calgary to a Grey Cup title in 1998, then joined the 49ers in 1999.
