Seville, Spain (SportsNetwork.com) - Sevilla announced on Monday that the club has secured the services of midfielder Michael Krohn-Dehli on a free transfer.

The Denmark international saw his contract with Celta Vigo expire at the end of the season, and he has opted to join a Sevilla side that finished fifth in La Liga but managed to qualify for next season's Champions League by claiming the Europa League title last week.

Krohn-Dehli joined Celta Vigo from Brondby in the summer of 2012 and he played a big role in the club finishing in an impressive eighth place this past season, appearing in 36 of the club's 38 league matches.

The 31-year-old is the first signing of the summer by Sevilla, and he will join the club on a two-year contract with the option for a third year.
