Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Seattle Mariners placed left-handed starter James Paxton on the 15-day disabled list Friday with a strained tendon in his left middle finger.
Paxton, 26, left his start against Cleveland on Thursday in the fifth inning, having allowed four runs -- three earned -- on eight hits.
In 10 starts this season, Paxton owns a 3.70 ERA in 58 1/3 innings.
To take Paxton's place on the roster, the Mariners recalled right-handed pitcher Deominic Leone from Triple-A Tacoma.
