Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Brandon Belt and Matt Duffy each homered and recorded three hits to lead the San Francisco Giants to a 11-8 win over the Colorado Rockies on Friday in the opener of a three-game set.
Buster Posey had three RBI for the Giants, who have won seven straight.
Ryan Vogelsong (3-2) earned the win in another solid outing from a Giants starter. Vogelsong surrendered just two hits and three walks over six scoreless innings.
Tim Hudson, Tim Lincecum and Madison Bumgarner all helped the Giants to a three-game sweep -- all shutouts -- of the rival Dodgers prior to heading to Colorado.
Kyle Kendrick (1-6) was charged with four runs on five hits and three walks in 6 1/3 frames.
DJ LaMahieu cracked a three-run homer for the Rockies.
Posey got the Giants on the board with a bases-loaded walk in the third. Kendrick then worked out of trouble with a strikeout of Belt.
San Francisco added two more in the sixth and four more in the seventh.
Posey singled with one away in the sixth and trotted home on Belt's fourth homer of the season for a 3-0 edge.
In the seventh, Duffy singled to lead off the frame and Nori Aoki walked after Vogelsong's sacrifice bunt. Joe Panik brought Duffy in with a single in the next at-bat, then Angel Pagan singled home Aoki and Posey drove in a pair with a double for a 7-0 edge.
LaMahieu poked a three-run shot to right in the seventh to get the Rockies on the board, also ending the Giants' 34-nning scoreless streak.
Rosario brought the Rockies within three with his RBI double in the eighth, but Duffy hit a two-run homer as part of a four-run ninth.
The game then went in a near two-hour rain delay after Brandon Barnes' single off Jeremy Affeldt cut the Rockies deficit to 11-5 in the ninth. Michael McKenry and Carlos Gonzalez each added RBI knocks out of the break, then Santiago Casilla came on to end the comeback bid, securing his 11th save of the season.
"I've seen a lot of strange games here," said Rockies manager Walt Weiss. "The guys fought back late."
After two straight outs from Casilla, Ben Paulsen ripped a double to right center that brought McKenry in, but Nick Hundley struck out to end the game.
