Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Dodgers placed catcher Yasmani Grandal on the seven-day concussion disabled list Saturday and called up catcher Austin Barnes from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Grandal left Friday night's game against San Diego in the fifth inning after taking a couple of shots to the head, one on a backswing and one on a foul tip that struck his mask.

He is batting .291 this season, including .400 in 16 games this month.

Barnes, 25, is making his first appearance on an active major league roster after hitting .290 in 29 games for Oklahoma City this season.
