San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Diego Chargers signed free agent right tackle Joseph Barksdale to a one-year contract on Tuesday.

Terms were not disclosed, but NFL.com reports that Barksdale's base salary will be $350,000 with the potential for $1 million in incentives.

Barksdale, 27, started all 16 games for St. Louis in 2014 and made 13 starts in 2013. After being selected with the No. 92 pick in the 2011 draft by Oakland, he was cut by the Raiders in September the next year and acquired by the Rams.

It was reported that the Rams had interest in re-signing Barksdale, and the veteran also made visits to Tennessee and Atlanta in free agency.
