Asheville, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Jimin Kang fired her third straight 5- under 67 on Sunday and rolled to a 5-stroke win at the Mission Health Wellness Classic.
Kang finished at 15-under-par 201 and set the tournament scoring record by two strokes. The win was Kang's fourth on the Symetra Tour.
The 35-year-old flew out of the gate with back-to-back birdies at one and two at the Country Club of Asheville. After four pars in a row, Kang moved to minus-13 with a birdie at No. 7.
Kang, a two-time LPGA Tour winner, reeled off eight consecutive pars from the eighth. She closed the victory in style with birdies at 16 and 18.
Lacey Agnew also closed with a 67 to share second place at minus-10. She ended alongside Brianna Do (68), Daniela Iacobelli (69) and Brittany Benvenuto (70).
Giulia Molinaro (68) and Mary Narzisi (70) tied for sixth at 9-under-par 207.
