Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Cincinnati Reds designated veteran reliever Kevin Gregg for assignment on Monday.
Gregg was 0-2 with a 10.13 ERA in 11 relief appearances, giving up 12 earned runs and three homers in 10 2/3 innings.
The Reds recalled Pedro Villarreal from Triple-A Louisville. He pitched in two games for the Reds earlier this season, giving up three runs on five hits.
