San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Diego Padres activated reliever Shawn Kelley from the 15-day disabled list Friday.
Kelley was 0-2 with a 10.13 earned run average over six appearances in his first season with the Padres before landing on the DL with a left calf strain.
The 31-year-old has posted a 17-19 record with a 4.08 ERA and four saves in 242 games with the Mariners, Yankees and Padres in seven seasons.
San Diego also optioned pitcher Nick Vincent to the Triple-A El Paso Chihuahuas of the Pacific Coast League in a corresponding move.
Vincent was 0-1 with a 6.14 ERA over seven relief appearances this season, his fourth with the Padres.
