Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Following Wednesday's loss to Seattle, the Houston Astros activated pitcher Josh Fields from the 15-day disabled list.
Fields has yet to play this season after starting the season on the DL with a groin injury.
The 29-year-old right-hander went 4-6 with a 4.45 earned run average in 54 relief appearances last season, his second with the Astros.
Houston also optioned infielder Jonathan Villar to Triple-A Fresno. The 23- year-old had just one hit in 13 at-bats over seven games this season.
