Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired left-hander Xavier Cedeno from the Washington Nationals in exchange for cash considerations.

Cedeno, 28, was designated for assignment by Washington last week after allowing two runs in three innings over five appearances in 2015. Lefties batted .252 against him in that time.

In five seasons with the Nationals and Astros, Cedeno has a 5.24 ERA in 55 total innings with 54 strikeouts.

To make room for Cedeno on the 40-man roster, Los Angeles designated right- handed pitcher Daniel Corcino for assignment.
