Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - Adam Jones continued his hot offensive play with a two-run homer and three-run double and the Baltimore Orioles routed the Boston Red Sox 8-3 on Sunday.

Jimmy Paredes supplied three hits and scored three times and Ryan Flaherty also homered for the Orioles, who have won four of their last five, including the last two games of this four-game series.

"When he's getting a pitch, he's not missing it," Baltimore manager Buck Showalter said of Jones. "Adam welcomes the responsibility of being a guy that his teammates and his organization count on."

Miguel Gonzalez (2-1) earned the win after giving up three runs on five hits and four walks with five strikeouts over five innings. He improved to 5-1 in seven career starts against Boston.

Hanley Ramirez hit a three-run homer for the Red Sox, who have dropped consecutive games for the first time this season. Rick Porcello (1-2) gave up all eight runs on 12 hits and three walks over five-plus frames.

"I just didn't execute pitches," said Porcello. "I made a lot of mistakes and they hit pretty much every one of them."

Monday's series finale gets a special Patriots' Day start time of 11:05 a.m.

After wasting a bases-loaded opportunity in the fourth, the Orioles took a 5-3 lead with two runs in the fifth.

Paredes and Jones each singled to start the frame. Chris Davis hit into a fielder's choice and Delmon Young walked to load the bases. Travis Snider hit a grounder to second and beat out Brock Holt in a race to first base for an RBI single and Manny Machado followed with a sacrifice fly to center field to plate Davis for a 5-3 lead.

The Orioles did more damage in the sixth. Caleb Joseph was hit by a pitch to start the frame, Everth Cabrera and Paredes both singled to load the bases and Jones cleared them with a fly ball off the wall in center for an 8-3 game.

Baltimore wasted no time getting on the board as Jones stroked a towering shot to left over the Green Monster, scoring Paredes, who singled with one out in the first.

In the home half, Holt led off with a single, David Ortiz worked a one-out walk and Ramirez brought them home with his own blast over Fenway Park's famed left-field wall to make it a 3-2 game.

Flaherty tied the game with two outs in the second by smacking a 1-1 slider just over the wall in center field.
