Kansas City, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Kansas City Royals outfielder Alex Rios is sidelined indefinitely with a fracture in his left hand.

Rios suffered a non-displaced fracture of the fifth metacarpal in Monday's 12-3 win over Minnesota. He will be placed on the disabled list and a move to replace his roster spot will be made prior to the Royals' game on Wednesday.

The veteran is hitting .321 with one homer and eight RBI so far this season.
