Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Two-time champion Andy Murray secured a berth in his fourth final at the Miami Open, an ATP Masters 1000 tournament.
The third-seeded British star handled eighth-seeded Czech slugger Tomas Berdych 6-4, 6-4 in 1 hour, 42 minutes in the first semifinal on Day 10 at Crandon Park. Murray broke Berdych on four occasions, while the big Czech settled for only two breaks in the setback.
Murray fell behind at love-30 serving in the final game of the match, but rallied and struck winners on the final three points.
Berdych, who was a Miami finalist in 2010, is now 6-6 lifetime against Murray, including 0-2 this year.
The 2015 Australian Open runner-up Murray captured this Miami event in 2009 and 2013 and was the runner-up in 2012.
The 27-year-old will appear in his 47th career final, seeking a 32nd ATP title. He's looking for his first title of 2015 after securing three championships on tour last year.
Murray will appear in his 13th Masters final and is now the fifth player in the Open Era to reach at least four Miami finals, joining Andre Agassi (8), Novak Djokovic (5), Pete Sampras (4) and Rafael Nadal (4).
His opponent on Sunday will be the world No. 1 star Djokovic or 22nd-seeded American crowd favorite John Isner.
The reigning Australian Open and Wimbledon titlist Djokovic is a four-time Miami champ, including last year when he beat Nadal in a marquee finale, and was the runner-up to Murray in 2009. Djokovic defeated Murray in the 2012 final.
Fresh off his title in the California desert, Djokovic is looking to become the first player to complete the Indian Wells-Miami sweep on three separate occasions.
The winner of this $5.3 million event will collect $900,400.
