Monchengladbach, Germany (SportsNetwork.com) - Monchengladbach midfielder Patrick Herrmann has signed a contract extension with the club that will keep him at Borussia Park until 2019.
Herrmann came up through the ranks at the club and made his debut as an 18- year-old in January 2010, making him a popular figure with the team.
The 24-year-old has gone on to score 35 goals in 185 appearances for the club, and he has played a big role in the team's attempt to capture a Champions League berth with eight goals in 24 league outings this term.
Monchengladbach enters this weekend in third place in the league table, eight points clear of fifth-place Schalke.
