Stanford, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Amber Orrange finished with 24 points as the fourth-seeded Stanford Cardinal defeated the fifth-seeded Oklahoma Sooners, 86- 76, second round of the NCAA Women's Tournament at Maples Pavilion.

Lili Thompson and Bonnie Samuelson contributed 19 points each for Stanford (26-9), which will advance to the Sweet 16 to face the top-seed, Notre Dame. Briana Roberson provided a spark off the bench with 13 points.

Kaylon Williams led the way for the Sooners (21-12) with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Gioya Carter added 20 points and Gabbi Ortiz had 12.

Oklahoma managed to take a 36-32 lead into the intermission after it outscored the Cardinal, 20-14, from inside the 3-point line in the first half.

Stanford dominated the second stanza, shooting 65.2 percent from the field and outscoring the visitors, 18-10, at the charity stripe. The Sooners were limited to 33.3 percent efficiency from the field over the final 20 minutes of regulation.

The Cardinal have now reached the Sweet 16 in eight consecutive seasons.
