Kansas City, KS (SportsNetwork.com) - The Portland Timbers were held to another draw on Saturday as the club was made to settle for a point from a 0-0 tie with Sporting Kansas City at Sporting Park.

The Timbers, who played to 13 draws during the 2014 regular season, opened the new campaign with successive ties, playing to a scoreless stalemate with Real Salt Lake in the club's opening match before conceding late in a 2-2 draw with the Los Angeles Galaxy last time out.

Portland was unable to find the back of the net for the second match of the season, making it three points from three matches for Caleb Porter's men.

Sporting has drawn its two home matches this term, dropping a 3-1 result at FC Dallas in-between.
