Dolphins sign RB James

Davie, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Miami Dolphins have signed running back LaMichael James to a one-year contract.

James joined the Dolphins' practice squad last October and was elevated to the active roster in November.

The Oregon product was selected by the 49ers in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft and spent parts of three seasons with San Francisco before being waived last September. He has 193 yards on 44 carries in 17 NFL games.
